As a result of the 2004 Elephant Research and Conservation Symposium in Sri Lanka, delegates unanimously agreed that a human elephant conflict listserve was necessary to share problems and solutions.

This invitation only listserve for those working directly with elephants and communities affected by elephants is available to share ideas and announce advances, as well as to report on the day-to-day conflicts.
