Todd Willens
Todd is a past IEF Board Member and has extensive experience in the field of government affairs, notably regulatory policy and legislative strategy.
As a government affairs consultant, Todd represents various client priorities before various states, the federal government and international regulatory bodies. Thus providing him a broad knowledge of issues and expansive contacts.
Todd is a former Deputy Assistant Secretary for the United States Department of the Interior. Notably, serving as Head of Delegation for the United States of America to the 14th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) as well as to the 31st Meeting of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage Convention (UNESCO).
Todd served as Senior Policy Director for House of Representatives’ Committee on Resources, providing overall staff leadership on legislative and policy issues under the Committee’s jurisdiction. As the Committee’s senior most policy staff, he routinely worked on complex issues with other congressional committees, Leadership, the Administration, the White House, States, local governments, interest groups, and the general public.
During his term on the IEF Board, Todd led Feld Entertainment’s Government Affairs as Vice President, representing corporate interests before local, state, federal, international legislatures and regulatory bodies on wide ranging issues affecting business operations.
Todd operates his consulting business in Washington, DC and resides in Colorado with his family.
