Rob Hunter, PhD
Rob is a Senior Research Scientist with Eli Lilly and Company. He received his B.S. in Animal Science from Angelo State University, a M.S. in Veterinary Pharmacology from the Texas A&M University, and a Ph.D. in Veterinary Pharmacology from Louisiana State University. Since completing his Ph.D. he has worked as an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Pharmacology at the College of Veterinary Medicine with Kansas State University prior to joining Eli Lilly. He has authored over 50 peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, of which more than half are related to zoological and elephant pharmacology. Rob is involved with many international efforts regarding Veterinary Pharmacology. He is currently a member of the Indianapolis Zoo’s Research Board and Veterinary Operations Board. He has previously served on the Topeka Zoo Research Board and served as a reviewer for AZA CEF grants. Rob also serves as a member of the Editorial Boards for the Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology & Therapeutics and the Journal of Zoo & Wildlife Medicine.
