Rural primary schools and communities in elephantt habitat will participate in creative elephant education in the form of a mobile elephant conservation display boards. Increased understanding about elephant conservation needs is the first step towards behavior change and proactive elephant conservation among community members in the Southern Cardamom Mountains.
Three thousand primary school students and 10,000 community members living in the Southern Cardamoms will receive environmental education with 1,000 interactive elephant conservation board games and 1,000 human-elephant conflict Khmer-language books to be distributed to schools and communities in the Southern Cardamoms.
IEF funding supports the development and production of the board games, the Human-elephant conflict book and art and education materials for display boards.
