IEF joined a partnership led by the International Rhino Foundation (IRF) to protect the many species that inhabit Garamba National Park located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Garamba National Park is home to the last remaining wild population of northern white rhinos, a decreasing population of wild African elephants (both Savannah and Forest Elephants). Conservation efforts include aerial surveys to evaluate current elephant populations, and providing anti-poaching training, vehicles and equipment to park guards.
